ARTIST ON THE RISE"FRESH FACE FOR ADONAI SIGNATURE CLOTHING "JWEBB""

anCor: What is your name and where are you from?

Jwebb: My name is Jamal Webb but I go by Jwebb and I'm from Baltimore but I moved to Richmond a while ago.

anCor: What do you enjoy most about your hometown?

Jwebb: What I enjoyed the most about Baltimore is that everything was connected and everything was in one place. I remember when I was little we could travel the bus and ride through the whole city.

anCor: Describe your self using one word.

Jwebb: Unorthodox

anCor: How do you feel about the R&B scene? How has it changed since the last 90's?

Jwebb: I somewhat feel that R&B is beginning to die out. Many R&B artists use sub genres and Hip Hop and Pop music is taking over and replacing what is known for R&B.

anCor: What age did you begin to sing?

Jwebb: I began at age 5. My first song was the itsy bitsy spider and my mom made me sing it all the time to my family. I was so embarrassed

anCor: Name a few of your inspirations.

Jwebb: Stevie Wonder, Fred Hammond, Brian McKnight, J Holiday, Michael Jackson, John Legend and Many more. Of course there's a lot of local Richmond artist that inspire me too.

anCor: Do you remember your first mixtape you ever did? If yes, how was that experience? How have you grown since that project?

Jwebb: I was a part of the Hello World Eyes on Entertainment. It was a good experience because it made me realize my joy for writing. That was my first experience with writing my own songs and making my own music in the studio.

anCor: What new projects are you working on in 2011 ?

Jwebb: I’m working on my album and mostly working in Musicheadz Production as a songwriter and promoter. I plan on doing shows and many benefit concerts and better myself as an artist.

anCor: What makes you different from other singers in your eyes?

Jwebb: I don’t see myself that different from many other singers because I am influenced by so many of them. Maybe that’s what makes me a different because instead of having one idea and one voice I feed from all those that I am inspired by.

anCor: Any words of wisdom?

Jwebb: When you’re working with music just go with what you feel. In the music business there are a lot of people who will discourage you by saying you sound like someone else or the music is too common but if its what you love then go with it.

Shout Outs: First and foremost I have to thank god. His blessings have came a long way. I like to give a shout out to my mother for believing in me. Also to Musicheadz Productions, Matt and Kelly at The Spot Records for all the support, Kayvion, Carlton, and those who I’ve missed shout out to you as well.
